We took Griff and Duncan to see Santa in Crystal Lake at his little house on Friday night. Actually, I took them both to see Santa on Thursday night, as well, same place -- but unfortunately it did not work out. Two tired boys + waiting in line + seeing other kids go into the house ahead of us = a very bad experience for all three of us. Not one of my most favorite moments thus far as a mom -- let's leave it at that. Bottom line is that we ended up leaving the Santa line and going home. And going to bed. :)
But, Friday night was much better. We were third in line and it wasn't too chilly. Griffin informed Santa that he wanted a train and that Duncan wanted a horse. Griff was shy (surprisingly) but jumped on Santa's lap anyway, though he was a bit disappointed that he couldn't meet the reindeer. And he felt a big bonus was the candy cane that he snacked on all the way home. Second try santa visit, successful.
