Because I don't want to forget...

This is my blog...but it serves many purposes.  It is the boys' baby book...it is my reference guide..it helps friends and family check in on the boys when they cannot see them as often as they would like.  And it helps sort my memories.  I have been thinking lately about certain things I want to "blog" about but there is no rhyme or reason to the issues or thoughts.  So...here is a hodge-podge-of-thoughts-post with some fun pictures as well.  Because I don't want to forget!

I don't want to forget how hard Duncan is trying to crawl.  I don't want to forget how much he loves to MOVE...much to my chagrin oftentimes, because I want to cuddle with him!

I don't want to forget about Griffin's lovie.  His blankie (which we have several of). I don't want to forget that Griff got it as a gift from Uncle Bill and Auntie Lisa...actually attached to a blue bear.  I don't want to forget how much Ben (jokingly) yells at me because I bought four additional bears...and believe me, it wasn't easy finding them online as they didn't have them at Babies R Us any longer.  But after it became his lovie I didn't want to lose it!  I also don't want to forget that for a long while Griff called it his "baby."  However, recently, we left a "baby" at Auntie Kayla's house.  And I broke out the last bear/blankie I had in the closet!  That's right, Ben, the last one!  And the new "baby" was softer than the rest.  And Griff KNEW the difference.  I was then that he began calling it his "cat meow."  Why, I don't know.  But he could tell the difference, even after a few washes.  He would smell them to know which one was his "cat meow."  Now...it's been a few weeks and a few washes.  It's hard to tell which one is his "cat meow," so he calls them all that.  And he loves them.  And often he will go around the house "meowing" until he finds it.  Love that...love him...boy after his mother's heart!

And I don't want to forget that Duncan licked it!

Speaking of Duncan liking Griff's things....here is D looking very sneaky...trying to chew on Griff's other favorite, Sheriff Woody!  Dunc loves to grab his brother's things.  I don't want to forget that it started early!

I don't want to forget that this little one LOVES to smile when in a good mood.  I don't want to forget how much my bad day or stress melts away when I get home, he looks at me, realizes it's his Mama, and gives me that grin.  And here is is with his brother's Bullseye...

I don't want to forget how much Griff loves to create things.  He loves art.  Here he is recently at his first day of his planes, trains and airplanes class...creating art on his "G"!

I don't want to forget how proud I was when I got a text from Ashley on Griffin's first day of class saying he had rocked it and that he had been the best listener in the class.  I was so upset that I couldn't go on the first day, but none of that mattered aftre I found out how much he loved the time.  I took him to his first day of his second class (Terrific Twos) today...and he was equally well-behaved.  Good starts, G!

I don't want to forget how G says "rocketship."  Melts my heart everytime.  I also don't want to forget that the teacher called it a spaceship and G corrected her.  Rocketship!

I don't want to forget that Griff does not like to get his hands messy while he is eating, and always asks for a wipe poste haste...but when it comes to art or playing, he has no cares!

I don't want to forget how Griff looks at me with excitement when I ask him if he wants to do new things and says "YEAH!"

I don't want to forget how quickly my littlest has grown up.  He did not waste any time shirking the newborn stage...he must think he needs to catch up to his big brother sooner rather than later!

I'm not going to forget how fun this run was two days ago...in January!  Duncan didn't cry (a new change) and Griff enjoyed it so much that when I went to turn into our driveway he said "no Mama!  Keep GOINGGG!"  So we did.  :)

I don't want to forget how helpful G is with his brother.  Truly, G does not resent Duncan or exhibit any jealousy.  And Dunc is in awe of Griff.  Brotherly Love.

And I don't want to forget how curious Duncan is.  He wants to touch or hold everything.  Tucker makes him laugh.  Dunc takes it all in...and is so inquisitive.  I don't want to forget how he looks when he is learning new things.  I also don't want to forget how much Griff loves "mama's bed."  He will, in the middle of the day, grab a blanket and say..."let's go to mama's bed."  At the end of the day, we find a lot of surprises under the covers...from orca whales, dolphins, tractors, and books to a giant plastic SPIDER that I found waiting for me a few nights ago under my comforter.  Griff loves "mama's bed" and takes all of his beloved objects there.
