We hosted Christmas Eve this year - Auntie Honey, Uncle Bill, Auntie Lisa, Nick and Sam came over to celebrate. We made lasagna and Auntie Honey brought some yummy brocolli lasagna. We had some drinks, a lot of wine, and some fun. Griff was in his element hamming it up, and Dunc showed off some of his new skills in sitting up and just being overall adorable.

| Our fancy eatin' table. That's right...this is our new dining room table! Otherwise known as a pool table...I recently caved and "let" Ben recognize his dream of owning a pool table. And putting it in our front room. We were on the fence about what to do with the large front room, and were against putting furniture in there that no one would ever sit on and just never using the room. So, ultimately, as I was in trial one afternoon I get a text -- "I'm at the Great Escape...I'm going to email you this pool table and let me know if you like it..." End result was that the week before Christmas a pool table was delivered to our house, and thus the Christmas tree was moved and our front room now holds a pool table and our glassware cabinets. Our former dining room is now a den. Once I get my new couch in there I think it is going to look nice. We may put some swing doors on the room, too. And to appease me, Ben went to the billiard store and got an insert for the table so that we can use it as a dining room table, too. It's a tad higher than a usual dining table, but not much, and it seats as many as we need. :) |
