A couple of weekends ago we were treated to a "sprinkle" for Baby Boy Pucci Number Two by some awesome friends. Because it is our second, it was small, but it was a lot of fun and the details were beautiful. Thanks, Liz and Ashley for spending so much time and putting so much thought into everything! We had a great time and are so grateful to have you in our lives!
The candy table...all blue...took a lot of running errands, I believe, to find all of this yummy blue candy. :) Even more special is that Liz used her kids baby spoons for the servers!
There were other details as well...the fireplace had a garland of Baby Pooch Number Two's full name (love it!) and there were blue pom poms hanging and garland on the staircase, too. Nothing was forgotten and it was as if Martha herself helped out.
The candy had to be moved back a bit after Griff discovered the table. And this wasn't it...there were two other rooms filled with food. Actually thinking about it right now makes me very hungry....and I have to remember to get some of the recipes as well.
Handpainted onesies using Griff's playroom curtains as inspiration. I'm pretty impressed with this handiwork.
The favors were candy bars with personalized wrappers...with Griff's pic and an ultrasound pic as well...thanking the guests from our two "sweeties."
And one of the most fun parts about the sprinkle? For this shower (a couples shower) Ben got to [had to] join and help unwrap gifts! :) He absolutely loved it (ha!). And of course Griff was there. To my surprise he took little interest in opening the gifts after he realized there wasn't much in there of interest to him. No Buzz, no Woody...no whales. Only adorable things that I can't wait to put in the nursery (almost there), some cute outfits, and some major necessities. Poor Griff.
And Griff's favorite "babysitter/girlfriend" in the world...Claire (or "Clairecake" as he calls her...this is something he's got with names lately...he adds "cake" to the end). These two snuggled up and watched a couple of movies while the adults talked and enjoyed the yummy food and drinks...isn't this adorable?
THANK YOU again to all of our great friends who planned this...and those who attended...we really didn't think BP#2 would be so spoiled, or that we would, either!
