Duncan's Ten Month Photos!

I wanted to (finally) share Duncan's ten month pics!  This little man is on the move, and is truly developing his own personality!  Don't tell him not to do something...you will either get a throw-himself-on-the-floor, drama-filled, heart-wrenching, gut-wrenching, make-heads-turn-at-Target scream of absolute despair...OR he will laugh at you.  And then he'll keep doing it.  He likes to make his brother laugh, especially in the car.  And when he finds what gets the laughs he keeps it up!  He loves to [try to] eat mulch.  He's had his stint at playing in the bidet like big bro did (remember the "have a nice bidet" post?).  He LOVES his blankies and his stuffed animals and is a very cuddly sleeper...in his crib that is.  He still is not a fan of cudding with PEOPLE, however...still much to my dismay.  He still gets up to eat around 6am, but then he wants to immediately go back to sleep; honestly, I know that with a little sleep training I could eliminate this feeding but at this point it is kind of convenient to get me up on the weekdays.  Weekends...not so much.  But, once he eats he smiles at me, cuddles (just a bit) and  then back in his crib he wants to go.  He then rolls into a ball, pulls a blankie over and buries his head in his favorite stuffed animal of the day and falls asleep pretty much right away.  When he wants to get up you will know it, if not by sound, by seeing flying stuffed animals on the monitor.  He refuses to hold his own bottle even though he is MORE than capable (he holds his own sippy, however).

He still does not like the car.  Yep.  Still.

His favorite thing is STILL playing with his brother, getting kisses from his brother, getting hugs from his brother, playing with his brother, pulling a toy out of his brother's hand...you get the picture.  Duncan Pucci loves him some Griffin Pucci!  And, generally, vice versa, though Griff at times takes on the role of instructing Duncan "no thank you, Dunc Dunc" or "Dunc Dunc!  Don't eat that it is YUCKY!" or "Dunc Dunc!  STOP CRYING" (this one mostly heard in the car) or "Dunc Dunc, time for nap" (this one generally seconded by Mama).

Dunc still likes to be held.  And when he is in this mood, don't put him down, or else you will get the behavior described above (drama, floor-flailing, intense cries of absolute despondency).

He is wearing 2T clothes.  And some shirts in 3T.  He is no longer eating a drop of baby food...and eats anything that we eat.  And generally a lot of it.  Last week the two Pucci boys went through an 8-egg omlet with quite a bit white American cheese in one sitting.  EIGHT eggs.  With turkey sausage on the side.  And when I say Pucci "boys" I am not including Dad, who wasn't home at the time.

Dunc likes to show you he is "so big," he knows the signs for "more" and "all done" and sometimes "eat."

Overall we just can't believe our little baby is this big...this grown up.  But we are loving it, and him.  Look at those baby blues.  How could anyone resist?!?!

And his TEETH!  My poor, poor little man got THREE teeth at once and three more are on the brink.  You can kind of see in this picture his crazy little smile - one of his front teeth still isn't in while the top side tooth IS in.  Looks a little silly at the moment but he sure did work HARD for that top front tooth...buckets and buckets of drool, some Tylenol, some fevers, and a lot of time being held.  And in between I was able to sneak in SOME cuddles.....

This is generally a precursor to the fit of desparation....   :)
