Playtime

Much to his delight, Griff found that Duncan moving leads to more opportunities to "play" with him (read: treat him kind of like he treats Tucker by enticing him to crawl in certain ways after certain toys).  Tonight he found out Duncan thinks it's pretty darn funny when G puts his cat meow on D's head while he crawls.  And this was what we did for quite a while tonight...hey, whatever works!

Another Puppy?

Saturday my little baby blue eyes was up early...and so, as a result, I was too.  So he and I hung in his room while everyone else slept and did some clothes purging.  And, true to the Pucci boys' custom, Duncan has learned that when crawling, you need your hands.  And because of this, the mouth is the easiest way to carry what must be carried!  Dunc had his brother's sock (clean, of course) and crawled up and down the hallway with it.

Too stinkin CUTE!!!!

Remember this one?  Yep, Griff started the trend...

On the Move

Duncan didn't waste any time getting up on all fours and getting moving!

Out of the Mouths of Babes

It's no secret that Griffin Pucci is a hambone.  He loves to be the center of attention, and loves to entertain.  I just wanted to document some of his phrases and outbursts lately that have just CRACKED us up....because, again, I don't want to forget a single story.

At school, they built a fort with some chairs and their parachute.  One of his classmates, a little girl named Charlie, went inside the "fort" and was hiding, and wouldn't come out.  We all kept asking "oh no where's Charlie?"  Griff looked around...put his hands on his cheeks and exclaimed (much to the chagrin of Charlie's mommy): "OH NO!  Charlie is DEAD!"  That, or hiding, G.  Hopefully the latter.

Today, I put a new pair of gray khakis on Griffin (having to get new stuff all of the time...that's right this guy is also plowing through clothing sizes like his little brother -- we are in 4T and 5T now...yikes!).  We just happened to be in front of my floor mirror when doing so.  I put on a matching shirt and said he was good to go.  Griff pauses...looks in the mirror...does a quick turn to check out the backside...does another little turn to check out the other side, turns to me and says, "Yeah...hmmm...I weally look GOOD!"  Yep, Griff.  You look GOOD!

Today, Griffin was gone.  Instead, we had Mr. Dump Truck, Mr. Bulldozer, or Mr. Concree Mixa.  This morning he informed Ashley, "let's play trucks.  You be a Dump Truck, and I will be a CONCREE MIXA!!"  And then, at naptime, he requested that she say "Goodnight Mr. Bulldozer" before he went down.  And tonight, after an "oil change" in the potty he looked up at me and said, "Yep, all done Mr. Dump Truck."

"WHAT'S THAT?"  We hear this 24/7.  And I am amazed at how inquisitive he is.  He wants to know what everything is, and when told, he repeats what it all is.  He is a sponge.  I love seeing him soak in the world and try to learn as much as he can.

He and I were looking at pictures on the iPad with Duncan the other day to distract our littlest man from his teething pain.  Griff happened upon some pics that he took of himself (he does this frequently...most of the time I am quite surprised when I check out the photo roll and I have to delete quite a few).  Anyway, he somehow figured out how to use one of the apps and gave himself two heads.  He checked it out, turned to me with the cutest face of surprise, and said "What Da HECK?"  Really Griff?  What the heck?  Guess it's better than the alternative....

He is into holding his own "wee" (this is what we call it) when he potties now.  Very independent.  Except his aim leaves much to be desired.  So I am told the other day, when holding his own wee while pottying with Ashley, he accidentally aimed UP and got some potty on his face...to which he exclaimed, "OH NO, ma wee!"  He told me later when I asked him about it that, "yeah mommy, ma weee!  It got cwazy!"

This weekend Duncan was ready for bed at about 6:30.  And so I scooped him up and told Griffin he was going to bed and asked if he wanted to tell Duncan goodnight (he does this every night, and gives him a goodnight kiss).  He leaned down to give him a kiss, and after I scooped Dunc up he said, "wait, mommy, no!  I need to give him one moe kiss!"  Brotherly love.

Griff still prefers to poop in his pullup.  We still try to think of ideas, including bribery - no shame there.  He and I were at Target Sunday.  We purchased a backhoe, and I told him that he could open it and play with it when he pooped on the potty.  When we went to check out, he handed it to the cashier.  She smiled and said, "is this for you little guy?"  He replied dejectedly, "no, not now.  Only if I go POOP in da potty.  Then I get that backhoe."

I could go on.  And I will. But for another post, as this one is getting long.  :)

Found this on my iPhone.  Kind of creepy, don't know how he managed this one!

iPad super close up!

Griff in his model outfit...looking "weally" good!

One of my favorite finds.  :)

Dunc is 7 Months Old!

Well "little" baby Duncan is now 7 months old!  My how the time has flown.  At 7 months, Dunc is sleeping like a champ; he goes down around 7pm and generally sleeps until between 6am - 7am.  He needs his blankies and lovies in his bed as he loves to cuddle them...but Mommy still can't get too many cuddles, because if Dunc is awake he wants to MOVE.  He still loves his jumparoo, and his saucer...but is now moving on his own on the floor.  That's right, Dunc is "crawling."  And it's a weird crawl, for sure....I can't really even describe how he moves, as it is hard to figure out even when you sit and study his moves.  Somehow he moves, as he gets to where he wants to go, but how he got there...still not exactly sure.  It involves a little hop and a little scoot and a little worm....

Duncan is chit chatting with us, too.  And he takes what he has to say very seriously.  He will look at you....draw a huge breath...and then out it comes.  Sometimes it is a quiet, "hi," sometimes it is a "mamamama" and lately it has been "GEEEE!"  He is very interested in EVERYTHING...mostly his brother's toys, and Tucker.  If Tucker is anywhere near Dunc, D is happy.  And the boy is an eater.  Eating is yet another thing this little man takes very...very seriously.  If you even think that you can eat at the same time as he is being fed, think again.  The bites must come quickly and not stop.  And if they stop...look out, you'll hear it.  Duncan honestly likes his solids more than his bottles.  He eats all kinds of fruit and likes most of his veggies except green beans.  He is eating yogurt and is trying out feeding himself with some puffs, which to Griffin, is hilarious.  If Duncan feeds himself anything (puffs, rice cakes) Griff laughs hysterically...."look, Duncan is eating a cookie...now that's funny!"

And what goes in, must come out.  Let's just say that Duncan does NOT share in his brother's problem and will not be needing to see the pediatric gastroenterologist any time soon.  Every diaper change means a poop change with baby D.  And we are NOT complaining!  :)

Duncan is an amazing little man, and I wish he would stop growing so fast.  I'm not sure where my baby has gone, but I'm very excited to watch this little boy grow, learn, and become his own person.

I do, I do, I DOOOOO!!!

Griffin is BIG into singing right now.  He sings along with the radio (even when he doesn't know the words, much like his Daddy), he sings along with the TV and he gets the cutest little head bob to the beat.  He really enjoys this short from the Disney Channel...and if you can't tell, they are doing the "choo-choo dance" and they are asking "who wants to dance to the choo choo song?"  And the kids answer, as Griff does, "I do, I do, I DOOOO!"

My little performer.

Bloopers...and other Cute Ones...

Below are some of the pics that didn't make it into the V'Day Card...but I love them nonetheless.  Now our photo shoot yesterday with the professional photographer?  That's another story.  I don't know how many of those we can call "bloopers"...not a fun experience for the Pucci Family.  Let's hope Amy O can work some photoshop magic!  I will share the good, the bad, and the ugly when those come out.  :)

In this shot you can see the red mark on the side of Duncan's head.  Yes, Griff doesn't ALWAYS love his brother...this is from earlier in the day when Griff whacked Duncan upside the head with a toy.  Duncan took it like a champ.

Clearly Ms. Asha is scaring the pants off of Griff here...

Another view of the wound, and Duncan's fav activity...slobbering!  :)

So what if I have gorgeous eyes and two cute teeth?
