Duncan is Five Months!

Sweet Duncan is Five Months Old!  Hard to believe, but it's true.  :)  At five months old, Duncan is just now learning to sit up.  He is much better at doing so on carpet, but is definitely getting the hang of it.  Dunc still pretty much hates the car.  There will be periods that he is fairly silent...but the periods that he cries are much longer.  This kind of ties into my next comment...Duncan is still very much an obstinate little man.  He likes to be held.  Period.  He likes to jump either in your lap or his jumpy.  But all things considered, he wants to be HELD.  He is sleeping through the night....and doing a great job of it (life got a heck of a lot better when that became a regular routine)!  He goes down around 7 and often doesn't get up until 6:00 - 6:30...sometimes, however, when he is "growing," he likes to get up at 5am and have a snack - maybe three times per week.  That's okay, baby D, we will TAKE it!  :)  He thinks his brother is very funny and he really likes to take his toys, yes, already.  I heard this phrase for the very first time from Griffin the other morning when we were all four hanging in our bed - "he HIT me!"  Griff, at this point I am not sure Dunc even knows he has hands...cut him some slack, it wasn't intentional.

Dunc eats like a champ.  Green beans are still his only dislike.  Otherwise, if you can get it in his mouth fast enough, he loves it.  If you can't, he will certainly let you know (read: Mommy and Asha are the only ones who feed Duncan...we are not afraid to shovel it in)!

Dunc graduated from physical therapy (given that he sleeps on his tummy now and is never on his back any other time, the flat spot is gone and his neck strength is almost even now on both sides).  Duncan is also not taking his acid reflux meds any longer.  Baby D is one healthy little stinker and often is wearing clothes in 18 mos.  Yup.  He is our little tank and we love him so very much!

  1. Wow, hard to believe he is 5 months already. Growing up too quickly :-) So glad he is sleeping and no more tummy troubles. The obstinate part, well dear they call that "pay back and heredity" :-P Happy belated birthday short stuff, we love you and can't wait to see you all next weekend!
