Low-Key Weekend

It was a low-key weekend in the Pucci household...Ben's been gone during the week since we got back from vacation (and he will continue to be gone for the next couple of weeks), so all three boys were excited to see him when he got home on Friday night. Griffin stayed up and gave Daddy a big smile when he walked in. On Saturday we did some furniture shopping and picked out a new table for the kitchen (one with stools that go entirely under the table when we're not using it so we have a ton more room) and a new table for the foyer. We've already moved the old kitchen table out, and the space left in its stead is refreshing...it gives us a lot more breathing room. Can't wait for the new, more practical table to arrive!

Saturday night Ms. Ashley came over to watch Griffin (best of both worlds: since we don't leave until almost Griffin's bedtime, we get to spend all day with him and then get to spend adult time together and know we're missing nothing but a sleeping baby) so we went out to grab some food and a see movie of Ben's choice; when we were in Florida we made bets on the playoff games to make them more exciting and I lost, so Ben got to choose the movie (Avatar in 3D).
And though it rained all weekend and is fairly gloomy outside, at least most of the snow has finally melted. Ben was able to finally find the cords to the Christmas lights under the snow and ice in the yard and we (he) cleaned off the patio, as our dear little doggies were way too lazy to venture too far in the snow to potty...which we weren't too fond of as the patio is still new to us.

All of the boys were excited to wake up to find Daddy still home!

Ms. Ashley is a pro at taking care of Griffin...when I got home he looked so sweet sleeping that I really wanted to curl up in his crib with him...but since repairing the crib or buying a new one isn't in this month's budget I found that a quick picture sufficed. And he slept until 8am this morning (very unusual for our fairly early-riser). Ms. Ashley is our hero.

We went out to breakfast and Griffin stuffed himself with his favorite food of the moment: Cheerios. He loves his oatmeal, too, so breakfast is a favorite meal!

I can feed myself with your spoon, Mama!

Other end generally works better, buddy...

Griffin watched Daddy work on the patio...I know he is going to have a BLAST this summer playing outside in the yard. Soon, little man!
